My Favorite Thing About LinkedIn

In the never ending options for communities out there in the land of social media and social networks, LinkedIn often gets forgotten.

While it doesn’t share the popularity of mega-sites like Facebook or Twitter, it still plays a unique and important role for professionals online.

Just an Online Resumé?

That’s what most people think about LinkedIn. While it is an online place for you to show your stuff, professionally, there’s another feature of LinkedIn that is definitely my reason for using that network.

LinkedIn’s Hidden Treasure –> Groups

LinkedIn Groups offers you the opportunity seek out and find others who care about the same things you do. You can find a Group for practically any and every interest you may have.

Love your car? I bet you can find a group of people who love it too, and all they want to do is talk about it! Solve problems, share stories, share important news or updates, etc…

Love your political party? Take a look.

You get the idea.

My Favorite Thing About LinkedIn: WordPress group

I love this community! If I ever get stumped on a WordPress issue, this is one of the first places I go to put out feelers to get some input for other WordPress users and developers.

I’ll go here for things like:

• questions about issues experienced on a WordPress site
• recommendations for plugins for unique tasks
• keep up with the buzz of what other WordPress developers are doing these days

Always Good to Give Back

This group has been a great resource for me ever since I stumbled upon it a couple years ago. While it’s been great to get input from others on some of my issues, I also like to give back.

Because I’ve got a lot of experience with WordPress and issues that are involved with running a WordPress site, I like to help others who are having problems.

Since 90% of my clients are WordPress users, I highly recommend you all come join the WordPress group on LinkedIn. You’ll be among friends.

Find Your Group!

Whether or not you want to join the WordPress group, I know you’ll find a group that you’ll enjoy.

The Groups on LinkedIn are definitely my favorite part of that network!
