From time to time I’m asked questions like, “I just want to put up a website and make a lot of money, what should I do?” People see these infomercials on late night TV that make the claims like “We will set you up with your own website and you just get ready to start cashing those checks!”
Money is awesome, and I can’t blame anyone for wanting a lot of it. Nothing wrong with that in the slightest. But in my experience, the kind of businesses that do well are REAL businesses, businesses that offer REAL products and services of value.
My suggestion to people who want to make money online is offer something REAL. (by the way, ‘m not yelling with the caps, just trying to emphasis a point) Make it about a product or service that you believe in, that offers quality to the customers. Something that you believe in and stand behind. That ultimately will be more exciting and fun for you and has a better chance of being successful on multiple levels. Be the Real Deal.
