Content Marketing Tip: Consistent Blogging Makes for Happy Readers!

October 23, 2012 by T.A. Vieira

If you’re trying to build momentum for your blog, one thing that can really help is to set a pace, then really try and keep up with that.

Your readers and subscribers get used to your tempo and it’s sets expectations. They look forward to your next post; your next bit of information that they can use to help their situation, or maybe even inspire them to make that next move.

Do you need to post everyday?

Setting a blogging pace doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve got to put out content everyday. Maybe you’re a one-man shop (like me) and don’t really feel like you have the time to spend putting a post together everyday. Although I am a one-man shop I do try to post at least once a day. But that doesn’t mean that you have to.

Maybe every two or three days would work better for you. And maybe your readers might even enjoy that more. Maybe even just once a week. Just remember, if you start to have gaps of over a week or more, you might start to lose your reader’s interest.

Consistency

The main thing is to just try and keep a steady pace. The thing you don’t want to do (which I’ve been guilty of) is to blog like a fiend, everyday for three weeks, then not again for another 3 months. That won’t do anything to help build your blogs readership. That won’t do anything to build your content marketing momentum.

Coming Up…

Stay tuned. I’ll write more about little tips and tricks you can use to help you keep your momentum going.
